Introducing the newest release of…

IMAT | Interface between

MATLAB®, Analysis, & Test

ATA Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of IMAT™ version 2.60 of the IMAT (Interface between MATLAB®, Analysis and Test) software product. The IMAT Toolbox provides a framework for easily importing FEA simulation data and measured test data into the MATLAB environment to access its versatile programming and mathematical strengths. With this  new release, ATA extends the functionality and usability of the IMAT and IMAT+ products, especially when used with I-DEAS, and NASTRAN.
Committed to providing new IMAT releases in conjunction with new MATLAB releases, ATA Engineering designed IMAT v2.60 to work with MATLAB R2009a (7.8). It will also work with MATLAB releases R2007b, R2008a, and R2008b. In addition to many minor enhancements, several new capabilities are available.

NEW CAPABILITIES:

New in IMAT version 2.60, ideas_fn has been enhanced. Power Spectral Density and Cross Spectral Density performance has been significantly improved and they no longer require the Signal Processing toolbox.

New in IMAT+ version 2.60, a new writenas command was added to write tables to an OP2 file. There are several enhancements to readnas including:

•    PCH file processing has been overhauled to return SORT1 records either as structures or ideas_shp or result, or as functions (as previously done).
•    No longer requires geometry to be present in the OP2 file when reading nodal and energy results, as long as you are not transforming to the basic coordinate system or requesting actual node numbers in the result components.
•    Supports many previously unsupported result datasets.

This is the last IMAT release that will support both licensing mechanisms, ATAServer and SentinelTM RMS from SafeNet. Beginning with the release of IMAT 3.0 in the fall of 2009, only Sentinel RMS licensing will be supported.

IMAT PACKAGES:

The base IMAT product provides the capability to import test data into the MATLAB environment for further processing.

The IMAT+ product has expanded capabilities to import Nastran and Abaqus results into MATLAB for post-processing, and export data to Femap.

IMAT+Testkit is a collection of utilities designed to aid test engineers in pre and post testing activities. IMAT+Testkit includes modal (vibration) testing utilities for selecting the optimal accelerometer and exciter locations, the Alias-Free Polyreference curvefitter (AFPoly), and other tools.

IMAT+RTK is a utility designed for jet engine and rotating equipment engineers. IMAT+RTK (Rotational TestKit) analyzes data and performs order-tracking of rotational events using the Vold-Kalman filtering technique.

DOWNLOAD IMAT v2.60:

IMAT v2.60 is available to any IMAT user who is current on their Maintenance, Enhancements and Support (ME&S). The vertical application packages, IMAT+, IMAT+Testkit, and IMAT+RTK, can be purchased as an upgrade to the base license. Customers can download the latest version from http://www.ata-e.com/software/imat/.
